Summary

They both were brother and sister from the same blood. They were brought up together and  leant to care one another, to protect one another and to love one another. The love and care for one another of Kanchana and Chetra made them the examplary siblings of the university.

After Chetra won the first place in the Youth Music Amateur contest of the year, he made a hard decision to join a training in Korea for one month with the famous music company of Cambodia, the GramDia. The decision earned him the first experience of being away from his beloved sister, loneliness and helpless.

On the 23rd birthday of Kanchana, Chetra rushed from Korea to surprise her on her birthday party. On the way, he got a car accident which led him to stay half a month in the hostpital. To have his sister by his side again and take care of him, he felt the price of the accident was compatible.

The feelings growing in Chetra for Kanchana was more than what he could figure out. It stayed suspecting and unclear untill Kanchana was asked to get married with Asnarith, the only son of the President of the National Assembly. To that point, Chetra knew he actually loved his own sister.

Chetra tried to hide his feelings and stay away from his sister. For Kanchana, she felt the same. However the more they tried to suppress their feelings, the more painful they got.  So the night before Kanchana’s engagement day, Chetra  quietly tiptoed into Kanchana’s room. He confessed his  true feelings for her and asked her to run away with him. However he got rejected as Kanchana was sure that that kind of relationship could not result. Though she told him that she also loved him.

They, later, could not hold the feelings for one another anymore. They started seeing each other secretly and used brother-sisterhood image to hide their truth while going on a date.  Since that moment, the world became a really beautiful place for them. They enjoyed every second they had together and tried to make sure of time they could be in each other’s arms as they could foresee that that kind of happy moment would end someday ahead of them. And for sure, slowly their relation was found out.

What would happen when their actual relation was found out and criticized by the society? Could they both make a successful jump on the endless-height wall? It might be time for them to say “we will meet in the next life” or what?

New Project

June 23, 2009 · 1 Comment

My new story writing project is “ForBidden Love”. “……Love is bidden to the one we live our life for… Love can  beautifully shining your path… Love is nothing but everything… Perfect love grows un-noticeably… But their LOVE?”

ForBidden Love, a taboo love of two siblings who have lived their life to fulfill one another’s since their birth. Their feelings for each other are more than sister-brotherhood, more than a man-woman love and even more than words can describe. This feelings grow in them unnoticeably, unconsciously and smoothly as days, months, years pass by. It is not until  the term “arranged marriage” come into their parents’ head, they then start to sense sufferings and pains in their heart.

Could this love be a love? What will happen when, for them, the word Death and Living could be interchangeably used?

Coming soon…

Another dark and gloomy day

June 15, 2009 · 1 Comment

What the world is up to now? Climate change is really a climate change; it does change my mood every morning, from a healthy into depressng mood. It is now June, I supposed to be in the warm sun in the morning riding my bike to school and now……

My bike is almost dead because i have not used it for already almost 5 months. I always wish that the weather is good, full of sun shine and warm bliss, so that i can ride on my bike elegantly to school. But now every morning of this June, i get up and look out of the window and say “Das Wetter ist noch scheissssssss”. I have to get up early than usual in order to take a train and then a bus to school though the school is actually just 12 minutes by bike, and that all thank to this cold and gloomy weather.

Butterfly Lovers

June 3, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Till death do us apart, but with the couple of the butterfly lovers, this say is not true. The legend of the earnest love and sacrifices of of two lovers Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai during the Jin Dynasty of China is shown and spread to the world in various means, novels,  movies and TV series. In 2006, a formal application for the proclamation of Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity on the Legand at UNESCO was submitted through the Chinese Ministry of Culture.

The legend was a bout beafutiful, intelligent and tomboy Zhu Yingtai who could finally persuade her parent to let her go to  school like other men.  She dressed up as a man accompanied by two of her servants to seek for her adventure at school. At school, she met Liang Shanbo, an intelligent and innocent gentalman. They swore to be brothers as though they couldn’t be born on the same date, they would die on the same date. The two sworn brothers studied and lived together for three years at school. Yingtai knew she had been deeply falling in love with Shanbo while he had no clues at all on Yingtai’s gender.

One day Yingtai was called to go back home. Before leaving she told Shanbo that she would be the matchmaker for him and her sister. Shanbo knew everthing when he met Yingtain in woman form at her house and they deeply fall for each other. Later, Yingtai was forced to marry another man from high ranking family. Shanbo with heartbroken fell seriously ill and later died.

On the day of Yingtai’s marriage, she ran to visit Shabo’s tomb and begged it to open up so that she could be with Shanbo forever. A strange phenomenon happened, the tomb did open up and Yingtai jumped into the tomb and died. The two lovers became butterflies and flew away.

This beautifully told legend was very well-known as well as a good sale as there are different adaptations have been made into series and movies.

In 1994, the Butterfly Lovers was put into big screen as The Lovers by Chinese director Tsui Hark, starring Asian idols, Nick Wu, Charlie Cheung and Peter Ho.

In 2007, it was once again put into a TV series starred by two of my favourite actors, Peter Ho and Dong Jie. The casting of this two heart-throb actors  brought lots of attention and high anticipation for the series from audiences. As expected from viewers, this production is considred to be the most comprehensive, finest and largest scale TV series presenting truest adaptation of the original legend.

Another movie of this popular legend in 2008 drew other three Asian heart throbs to a different adaptation on to the cinema screen. Charlene Choi, a Hong Kong’s film box office actress, Wu Chun, an idol popsinger from Taiwan, and Hu Ge, the hero from the popular TV series Chinese Paladin of the Mainland China, came to put their talents together into this new adaption. Audiences and of the three beautifully looked actors have highly anticipated for the movie, and it did earn a lot of supports.

However, I find this new adaptation is a wrong manipulation. If you want to watch to learn on the legend, I would suggest you watch the 2007 TV series rather this big screen movie. To me this new movie is a good eye-catching in terms of casting and scenery, but I prefer the 1994 version to this new adaptation. The changes of the traits and portraits of Liang Shanbo from a helpless scholar into a Kung Fu highly-armed student is the core to everything. To me I just find the old version is better. Though it was kind of old, but for sure, it was beautifully produced. It depicted more accuracies accordingly to the legend. It showed a beter romantic moments between the two lovers.

However, I do like one scene of the 2008 version. It is the scene that they are buried together. It is the most touching scene through out the whole movie.

I am not a potato = I am not for sale.  I am not a potato = I am not your commodity = I must not be traded off.

Those are what the 2 minute clip below wants to say. Each word in the video clip can scratch your heart. It is a photo video clip that couldn’t show actions or movement without the video effects, but it does move your thinking with its word effects. Please read each word carefully and think over.
